New York Vendy Tribute

Every movie set in New York almost always has a scene in which food is bought from a street vendor – often a hot dog or pretzel of some sort. During our recent trip to New York I was hesitant to try the food, imagining that it would be poor in quality and taste. Boy was I ever wrong!

Roasted Red Pepper and Walnut Spread

Muhammara is a hot pepper dip that originated from Syria. It is now found in many middle-eastern countries and there’s no dought why – it’s delicious! When I first made this I tried it as a dip, but I’ve found it shines best as a spread in sandwiches.

Falafel like you’ve never had it before!

Falafel is one of the few vegetarian meals my heavy meat-eater friends enjoy wholeheartedly, leaving them satisfied so that they don’t feel the need to stop off at Maccas after wards. After many, many tries we think we’ve gotten this recipe down for both flavour and texture. Packed with nutrients and minerals, it is a great meal or snack for any warm day.

A Soup To Warm Any Winter Night

Having only just finished eating this soup for the first time I just HAD to post it online straight away. It’s simple, delicious, hearty and easy! Coming home to a cold house after a day too busy to eat, it was just what I needed. Put it on then relax and put your feet up.
